The police took the initiative to investigate and found that two police officers were suspected of using false documents to obtain information on cases not related to their duties. After investigation, they were arrested last night and the officers are now being detained for investigation.
It is reported that the two police officers arrested are from Yau Tsim Police District, one is the anti-triad sergeant and the other is a regular police officer.
According to sources, the Organized Crime and Triad Investigation Division (commonly known as O Record) went to Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station this morning to read the CCTV footage and questioned a team of anti-triad agents.
The police stated that they attach great importance to personnel ethics. The police will not tolerate or condone any personnel committing illegal acts, and will definitely investigate seriously and deal with them impartially.
