He not only convinced Hirmer that he was suitable for the office of chairman.
In the election, all 37 members present voted for him.
Hirner had previously stated that he was now also the local executive in Aufkirchen: "Two offices at the same time makes no sense for me." In his last report, he was brief.
In 2020 and 2021 there were only a few board meetings.
In 2019, the fire brigade still had to cope with 24 missions, including seven fires, according to the figures from Commander Peter Reiss: “In 2020 the number has fallen to ten missions. The people just stayed at home all the time. ”The number of exercises also decreased - from twelve (2019) to eight (2020):“ Due to Corona, we were only allowed to practice with troops, ”regretted the commander. A lot is planned for the coming year, such as fire protection education in schools and kindergartens, various training courses and joint exercises with the neighboring fire brigades: "If it is allowed by then," says Reiss.
There was also a lull among the young fire fighters, the two girls and five boys were only allowed to take part in seven exercises in 2020.
Youth leader Wolfgang Roß: "That is extremely unfortunate, you actually have to do something with the youngsters on a regular basis." Roß is planning a 24-hour exercise or an excursion for the near future.
The fire brigade association does not need to worry financially.
After a small plus of almost 200 euros in 2019, there was a minus of almost 1400 euros last year.
But this is mainly due to the purchase of new uniforms, reported treasurer Andreas Roß: "In addition, we still have a very acceptable balance of over 17,000 euros, and we are not a savings association."
Before the new elections took place, Mayor Bernhard Mücke emphasized the importance of the fire brigades in the municipality.
They will be every cent that the community spends on it: “There are always ladies and gentlemen who think that it is too much.

There were also no dissenting votes for Stefan Seibold (2nd chairman), Andreas Roß (treasurer) and Martin Kurzinger (secretary).
