The Directorate of Education in Al-Hasakah Governorate has opened seven classrooms for kindergartens as part of the “Get ready to go to school” project implemented by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with UNICEF.

The Director of Education, Ilham Surkhan, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the classrooms that were opened are distributed among a number of schools in the cities of Al-Hasakah and Qamishli. They have been allocated to families who are unable to send their children to private kindergartens as a result of the living conditions, as the new classrooms provide their educational services free of charge to the enrolled children.

Surkhan added that the kindergarten classrooms that were opened within the schools target children within the five-year age group to gain knowledge throughout an academic year prior to their enrollment in the first grade in the basic education stage, noting that these people have been provided with all educational requirements such as teaching tables, chairs and designated spaces. For interactive games and decorating the walls with drawings for children that give them a character that they love with the class.

The supervisor of the kindergarten classes at Abi Dhar Al-Ghafari School, Mazkin Abdullah, pointed out that children are taught the third-class curriculum, which depends on interactive teaching and integrates learning methods with games that stimulate learning, indicating that the school includes two kindergarten classes, each class includes 30 children who are taught by female teachers. Kindergarten specialists in a scientific way want them to go to school and complete their preparation for entering the first grade next year.

The school, Heba Al-Mulhim, explained that kindergartens have an educational specialty based on educational means away from the traditional method of learning, while ensuring flexibility in dealing with children and creating a pleasant atmosphere for them by relying on methods of learning through play and discovery that help the child integrate and use his various mental and sensory skills in learning .
