Babacan: The economic crisis in Turkey is Erdogan's making

The head of the Democracy and Progress Party in Turkey, Ali Babacan, confirmed that the government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has corrupted and offended the national and original concepts in the country.

The Turkish newspaper Zaman quoted Babacan as saying at his party's regional conference in Tokat that "the economic crisis in Turkey is home-made and hand-made," noting that it offended national and original concepts in the name of religion.

Babacan pointed out that all of Turkey is suffering from a feeling of fatigue and is living in a state of depression... and the people do not deserve that, pointing out that no one in the country is sure of providing their daily food for the next day due to the high prices.

Babacan pointed to the youth's feeling of despair and said, "If our country cannot provide a decent life for its youth and children in light of this cycle of mismanagement, what should they do?"

And the former co-chair of the Turkish Peoples' Democratic Party, Selahattin Demirtaş, considered yesterday that the policies of the Turkish regime's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, crushed the Turkish lira and led to its collapse.
