Bus traffic on Geschwister-Scholl-Platz in Buchenau is to be straightened out.
Fürstenfeldbruck - As announced by the city, the buses of the local public transport regional bus routes X900 and 838 will no longer run through the pedestrian zone from the timetable change on December 12th.
It is said that passengers on the two lines will get on and off at a new stop at the level of the car wash on Kurt-Huber-Ring.
For this purpose, the previous provisional stop for rail replacement traffic will be converted into a permanent bus stop. The eight car parking spaces opposite are also being used: According to the city, the four parking bays to the east will be converted into storage facilities for bicycles and mopeds. In the future, cargo bikes can be parked on the parking spaces to the west. Thus, possible collisions between parking cars and buses are excluded.
The departing buses
of lines X900 and 838 will in future be routed via Eduard-Friedrich-Straße.
This is then shown as a one-way street with clearance for cyclists in the opposite direction.
The required minimum carriageway width of 3.50 meters is given throughout.
This significantly reduces the number of bus journeys across Geschwister-Scholl-Platz.
This is also necessary, since the X900 line runs significantly more often from the time the timetable changes.
The presence of buses in the area will also be reduced by creating a waiting area for buses in Hans-Güntner-Straße.
Nothing should change for lines 840 and 836.
The 840 will keep its single stop, the 836 will share its stop with the new X800 line.
