A car thief hadn't considered that there was a GPS tracker in the stolen vehicle - so the police got on the trail of the man, a drunk 51-year-old.

On Friday at 2:36 p.m., the vehicle was stolen by an unknown person in the Munich area (Basler Strasse), which the craftsman immediately reported to the police.
Using the GPS tracker, the officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle and found it at 4 p.m. in a parking bay near Straßlach.

Caused 9,000 euros in damage on the way
That was probably the cause of an accident on the way from Munich to Straßlach, when the car thief got into a ditch and grazed the bushes - this resulted in property damage of 9,000 euros.
Theft, endangerment of road traffic, intoxicants at the wheel: Due to the overall circumstances, the man was arrested and imprisoned in the Munich police headquarters.
