State witness Nir Hefetz is expected to testify today (Monday) in the trial of opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu in the Jerusalem District Court.

Hefetz was Netanyahu's close adviser when he served as prime minister, and his testimony is supposed to establish the bribery intentions attributed to Netanyahu in the 4000 case by the State Attorney's Office.

He is the first witness Netanyahu will come to hear, after receiving confirmation of absence from previous discussions in the case.

Hefetz was supposed to testify last week, but on the eve of his testimony, the prosecution announced the completion of an investigation into the 1000 case conducted for Hadas Klein, Arnon Milchen's personal assistant.

According to reports in News 13, Klein testified about buying a bracelet worth about $ 48,000 for Sarah Netanyahu, and about buying clothes for Netanyahu himself.

In light of the completeness of the investigation and the transfer of the materials to the defense, the prosecution announced that it would not object to the rejection of Hefetz's testimony, and the defendants' attorneys sought to reject his testimony to be impressed by the new investigation materials.
