Chemicals leaked in a production facility in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
The fire brigade was on duty on Monday morning with 85 people on the corner of Franklinstrasse and Salzufer.
Among them were specialists from the technical service who are familiar with such cases, as a spokesman announced.
The substance is said to be the gas hydrogen chloride, which is the volatile form of hydrochloric acid.
Berlin - The firefighters wore appropriate protective clothing.
