Today, at the Rural Development Center in the Harran Al-Awamid area in Rif Dimashq, the Rural Industries Exhibition, organized by the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Rif Dimashq, was opened under the title “Hope for sustainable rural development.”
A number of civil associations that presented the products of a number of families who benefited from their projects and training programs are participating in the exhibition to launch small projects that support them economically.
The exhibition includes a variety of foodstuffs, “homemade mortar from the traditional food industries, jams, cheese, dairy, pickles, molasses, honey products, bread and pastries industry,” in addition to handicrafts such as paintings, antiques, bags and clothes produced by the hands of women and youth with skill, technology and high experience, carpet industry, and agricultural products from plants and flowers.
Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Muhammad Seif El-Din clarified that the aim of the exhibition is to introduce and highlight the products of rural women and to empower rural families by supporting their projects as well as appropriate training and qualification in a way that achieves sustainable economic development for these families with their various members.
The opening was attended by the Governor of Damascus Countryside, Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, the Secretary of the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Radwan Mustafa, and a number of representatives of civil associations and social and economic activities.
