According to the State Medical Association President Erik Bodendieck, only a few intensive care beds were available in the Free State as of November 22nd.

So-called triage could already occur in the clinics at the end of the week.

"We have to triage, and I will discuss that again with my colleagues in the clinics this week," Bodendieck explained to the NDR.

According to the State Medical Association, there will then be more corona patients who need intensive medical treatment than there are intensive care beds available.

It could be that "we have to triage even in large clinics because we can no longer relocate," continued Bodendieck.
