Sagatilian: Upgrading parliamentary relations between Syria and Armenia to a qualitative level

Yerevan, SANA- Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia Ishkhan Sagatilyan affirmed that Syria has managed to overcome adversity and hardship.

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia Ishkhan Sagatilyan affirmed that Syria was able to overcome adversity and difficulties thanks to its leadership and the will of its people, pointing to the destabilizing Turkish role in the region by violating the territorial integrity and sovereignty of its countries.

During his meeting with Syria's Ambassador to Armenia, Muhammad Haj Ibrahim, Sagatilian expressed his readiness to make every effort to raise parliamentary relations between the two friendly countries to a new qualitative level, pointing to his election as head of the Armenian side in the Syrian-Armenian Parliamentary Friendship Group.

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia stressed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy and cooperation between Armenia and Syria in international forums, expressing his readiness to support the implementation of initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in various fields.

For his part, Ambassador Haj Ibrahim affirmed that the relations between Syria and Armenia are brotherly relations, stressing the importance of developing parliamentary and economic relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides noted the importance of mutual visits, including members of the Syrian-Armenian Friendship Group, to the parliaments of the two countries, and pointed out the steps aimed at deepening economic relations, especially increasing the volume of trade between them.
