2021-11-22T09:59:07.028Z

The Elite 7 Pro appeals primarily to users who want headphones to make calls with them, even in noisy places • In addition, they offer active noise filtering technology and a compact design

Jabra is at the peak of a wave of new headphone launches in the local and global market.

One of the latest models it has launched in Israel is the Elite 7 Pro.

These are wireless headphones (True Wireless) that replace the model - Elite 75t.

For the company from Denmark, these are headphones designed first and foremost for people who are looking for a solution for good phone call quality, no matter where they conduct it.

Design and control: Elite 7 Pro - compactness and water and dust resistance

The Elite 7 Pro are compact headphones, the kind that hardly stand out from the ears.

They are 16% smaller than the previous generation - Elite 75t and they are made of durable materials that incorporate vents to reduce pressure, which in my opinion was not really felt.

Jabra has incorporated here water and dust protection in the IP57 standard (including a warranty for water and dust for two years, which is not a trivial thing).

The headphones come in a standard look for a company in black with a silver-colored front.

They are also available in gold-beige.

An equally important part of the comfort of the headphones are the silicone adapters (or any other material) included in the kit. The adapters are the ones that determine the comfort and level of passive insulation, which affects, among other things, the quality of the sound you get. Jabra has developed new silicone adapters of the EarGel type with varying thicknesses in any size that comes in the kit (there are 3 sizes). The edge of the adapters is more pointed and round, when these sat well and firmly in my ears, so that together with their small and stable structure, I had no problem walking around with them on the street or performing sports activities.

The operation of the headphones is based on physical buttons, they respond well, but a touchpad was preferable.

Jabra allows with a single click in her right ear to play / stop the song or answer a call, double click to move a song forward, triple click for the first time will start the song from the beginning and a second triple click will move to the previous song.

For the volume increase a long press is required.

In the left earpiece you can switch with a single click between HearThrough mode and listening to the near environment for active noise filtering and double-clicking the voice assistant on the device.

The Elite 7 Pro has sensors that detect the removal of the headphones from the ears for automatic stopping / playing of the song.

So there is no need to press the button to stop the song when you take it out of your ears for a moment.

Sound and Calls: Elite 7 Pro - Phone calls everywhere

As mentioned, the Elite 7 Pro focuses on managing phone calls so they come with 4 microphones and with a technology called MultiSensor Voice, which includes a VPU sensor which is a Voice Pickup Unit that works while there is wind noise. It transmits the user's voice through jawbone vibrations with the help of analysis of the algorithm. In the end, all of these technologies provide very good call quality, even though I was on the street and passed by cars and also suffered from other background noises. Jabra's solutions slightly reduced the noise and amplified my voice. Of course in quiet places I had no problem having a conversation successfully, with no complaints coming to me during my review.

The Elite 7 Pro uses Bluetooth 5.2 technology, connecting almost instantly to a smartphone / tablet.

In addition, each of the headphones connects directly to the smartphone, which means that each headset can be used separately, right or left (mono mode) and not just with the right headset as in many other models.

By the way, the headphones will be supported in the future by updating a version connected to two devices at the same time, but at the moment this is not possible.

Elite 7 Pro - Limited active noise filtering

For 6mm diameter driver headphones, identical to the Elite 75t and smaller than half of the Elite 85t. The sound obtained is of good quality, balanced and will satisfy anyone who uses them, but they have limitations, they place too much emphasis on trouble and lack depth. On the other hand Many adjustments can be made to the existing equalizer in the app. By the way, a noticeable disadvantage is the limited support for SBC and AAC codecs and not aptX.

Jabra has incorporated active noise filtering (ANC) capability here, a pity it delivers subtle performance, which only slightly reduces background noise, like cars or air conditioners.

Together with the passive insulation of the silicone adapters, they manage to detach from the ambient noise.

Battery: Elite 7 Pro - Wireless charging

The playing time here is 8 hours, this is an excellent working time, when together with the small but thick carrying case, you get 30 hours.

For fast charging headphones, for 5 minutes of charging you get an hour of work.

Aside from charging with a USB-C connector there is an option for wireless charging here, which is always nice.

In the app, you can get a percentage indication of the battery status in each of the headphones and also of the carrying case.

Price

: NIS 680 (official importer in Connecticut)

Bottom line,

the Elite 7 Pro offers balanced sound, gentle active noise filtering, excellent call quality and long battery life.

They have limitations, but they are not critical.
