Channel 11's Tehran's series tonight (Tuesday) won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series.
The spy drama was directed by Danny Sirkin, written by Moshe Zonder and Omri Shenhar, and created by Moshe Zonder, Maor Cohen and Dana Eden, who also produced with Shula Spiegel and Paperplane Productions.
Its first season, which began airing in June 2020, starred Niv Sultan, Menashe Noy, Liraz Cherki, Sean Taub and Nvid Nahban.
The series follows an Mossad agent and computer hacker named Tamar Rabinian who is sent to Tehran to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
The series was filmed in Athens, Greece, following its creators' sense that the city is similar to Tehran.
