The date is finally fixed.

After several weeks of discussions, “Together citizens!”, The association of majority parties, will be launched on November 29 during a meeting at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris.

: the majority agree on the bases of the "common house"

The event should make it possible to stage the gathering of the majority behind the head of state while waiting for him to formalize his candidacy for the Elysee. The details of this "common house" have been carefully considered. Thus the place - Emmanuel Macron gave the Mutuality its first public meeting as a future candidate for the Élysée, on July 12, 2016 - and the calendar. The public meeting will be held a few days before the nomination of the Republican candidate (LR) for the presidential election. And with less than five months of the 2022 poll.

"We want to re-elect Emmanuel Macron and give him a majority

", summarizes the spokesperson for LREM, Roland Lescure.

Less ambitious than initially hoped by some, the planned device applies above all to the legislative elections of June 2022. It aims to coordinate the nominations so that the majority agrees on the name of a candidate in each constituency, even if each party will retain its own nomination committee.

Light structure

The majority leaders finally opted for a light structure, after several months of negotiations around the President of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand.

This alliance of LREM and its allies - the Democratic Movement (MoDem);

To act ;

the new party of Édouard Philippe “Horizons”;

and Territories of Progress - will be based on a charter of common principles.

It will be managed by an executive committee around four personalities: Richard Ferrand, François Bayrou, Édouard Philippe and Jean Castex.

But the majority officials have been careful not to merge into a single party.

It will therefore not be possible to join “Together citizens!” Directly.

- Édouard Philippe was opposed to this possibility, object of disagreement with the president of the Modem, François Bayrou.

Enhanced cooperation

” is however possible between the parties which so wish - for example between LREM and the Modem or between Horizons and Agir.

Lucide, a high-ranking Macronie also downgrades the scope of the achievement:

"The common house remains a flexible organization,

it

is not a cathedral

".
