Kempten / Allgäu - After extensive investigations by the Kempten im Allgäu public prosecutor and KPI (Z) Schwaben Süd / West, customs officials seized a total of 55 kilograms of marijuana from a 24-year-old operator of a Kempten transport company.
As has only now been announced, the inspection took place on Tuesday, November 2nd, in the afternoon when entering the federal territory in Baden-Württemberg.
The narcotics were built into the furniture and large electrical appliances that the 24-year-old transported in a van.
In the further course of the investigation, the investigators searched several objects in the Kempten area in the Allgäu on the same day and secured further evidence.
The police officers then arrested two urgent suspects, a 27-year-old man and the 24-year-old operator of the transport company.
The two suspects were brought before the investigating judge at the Kempten District Court on Wednesday, November 3, at the request of the Kempten Public Prosecutor's Office.
This imposed the pretrial detention, both men were admitted to correctional facilities (JVA).
