In exactly two days, the football world will mark two years since the death of football legend Diego Maradona, who passed away following a fatal cardiac arrest.
Until then, affair continue to crop up in Argentina from Diego's dark past and after it was reported yesterday that the football star was actually buried without a heart, tonight (Tuesday) a complaint was published about a Cuban woman claiming that Maradona raped her when she was only 16 years old.
At least according to the report, Maves Alvarez, now 37, testified last week in a court in Argentina and said that in 2001, when Diego turned 40, he began a relationship with him while in Cuba for treatment at a specialty clinic to help him with his drug addiction.
Maves Alvarez in front of the cameras,
"He covered my face, and just raped me. The truth is that since then I do not want to think about it too much," said Alvarez, who claimed he entered her room at the clinic and then the rape occurred while her mother was in a nearby room, "in the end and despite the big age gap "My allowed me to be in a relationship with Diego only because of the warm relationship he had with the late Cuban president Fidel Castro."
"My family would never have accepted the relationship with Maradona if the Cuban government had not been involved," she lamented, "they had to have a relationship that was not good for them, or for anyone."

The complainant added: "I filed the complaint to help all the women and all the victims of sex crimes and trafficking. It is difficult for me to be in Argentina and see his picture everywhere, Diego Maradona is a hero there, but everything I remember from him feels ugly to me."
