The prosecution reported that it will file a sixth count of intentional homicide against Darrell Brooks, the man accused of ramming a crowd with his car this Sunday in Waukesha.

Darrell Brooks, the man who was arrested in Wisconsin for running over multiple people during the Waukesha Christmas parade on Sunday, was charged Tuesday with five counts of first-degree manslaughter.

Prosecutors also reported that

a minor became the sixth victim of the hit-and-run on Tuesday

and said they will file another count of intentional homicide next week.

Brooks has been charged with driving a brown SUV through the parade on Main Street, hitting people and a float, police said Sunday night.

More than 40 people were injured and six died.

In the past decade, Brooks has been charged with multiple crimes and has been arrested for sexual abuse, marijuana possession, domestic violence and battery, according to court records.

His criminal record was taken into account during the hearing for

a $ 5 million bond

and various conditions to be set.

"It is extraordinarily high, but it is an extraordinary case," Waukesha County Commissioner Kevin M. Costello said in court.

"There is an extensive history of escapes, obstruction, and behavior such as bail, Your Honor," said District Attorney Susan L. Opper.

"It is noteworthy that these violations have been committed throughout the state of Wisconsin," he added.
