After 30 years of the “Homeopathy Forum”: re-use of the academy in Gauting clarified

Around 1200 classic homeopaths, 500 alternative practitioners and 300 holistic nutritionists have been trained in the "Homeopathy Forum" in Gauting over the past 30 years.

Gauting - After 30 years in Gauting, the Homeopathy Forum, also known as the “School for Homeopathy”, gave up its premises in Gauting some time ago and the office has moved to Germering. Educational offers are mainly online due to the corona, explains Manuela Schmidt-Manz, Chair of the Homeopathy Forum.

The rooms of the former "School for Homeopathy" in the complex on Grubmühlerfeldstrasse have been empty since January.

What will follow is already clear: without further debate, the Gautingen building committee recently approved the conversion into an architecture office.

At the end of February 2022, the architecture office founded by his father is to move from the opposite side of the street into the vacant space of the forum, said Andreas Barth on request.

The Gautinger office now has eleven employees and the size of the former training rooms is appropriate.

On the ground floor everything is on one level, according to the architect and urban planner.

Homeopathy training has now been relocated to the internet

The Homeopathy Forum, which it claims to be the largest association of its kind in Germany, has always had its seat in Gauting. The alternative practitioners Anne Schadde and Winnifried and her husband Manfred Stückrath founded the forum and academy 30 years ago. Over the past 30 years, around 1200 classic homeopaths, 500 alternative practitioners and 300 holistic nutritionists have been trained there, according to today's chairwoman Manuela Schmidt-Manz. After the lockdown, however, there was a yawning emptiness in the approximately 380 square meter training rooms, and the 21 lecturers have meanwhile relocated homeopathy training online. That brought more visitors, also from Austria and Switzerland. It was with a heavy heart that the Forum Gauting was given up, according to Schmidt-Manz.

If necessary for training courses or seminars, the Homeopathy Forum rents additional rooms at the new Germering headquarters in the town hall there.

Manuela Schmidt-Manz, the newly elected board member of the forum in May, belonged to the last Gautingen graduate class in December 2020. "I have my practice in Augsburg," says the alternative practitioner.

She was “a little irritated” by the question of how the homeopathy forum stood on the explosive topic of vaccination and replied in writing: “The homeopathy forum and the academy are absolutely neutral on the subject of vaccination.

We homeopaths work without prejudice, because that is a basic principle of our treatment method. "
