Aliens and UFOs are mostly the subject of Hollywood films or conspiracy theories.
But both the US military, politics and the NASA boss consider aliens to be possible.
Washington DC - The U.S. military released a highly anticipated report on 144 unidentified objects in flight in June 2021.
Videos
had already been leaked
to the
New York Times
in 2017

They show flying objects that quickly change direction, have neither recognizable wings nor drives, and sometimes accelerate extremely.
The Pentagon confirmed their authenticity, but an official explanation for the objects in flight has not yet been issued by the military.
Space: Nasa boss Bill Nelson does not rule out aliens
"We do not know what these objects are," said Nasa boss Bill Nelson exceptionally frankly in a lecture to students at the University of Virginia, as the

It could possibly be spaceships from distant galaxies, said Nelson.
"We have to find out," said Nelson, "who or what is out there."

The sightings have to be taken seriously, as numerous radar devices have detected some abnormalities, according to the former astronaut, who once flew into space himself. So far, science does not have any proof of extraterrestrial life. But that cannot be ruled out either, Nelson continued in his speech: "Who am I to say that the earth is the only place where a civilized form of life like ours could arise?" The NASA boss would be extraterrestrial life rolled into one Point apparently even prefers: "We hope that none of our opponents here on earth has such technologies." One of the tasks of NASA is to find evidence of extraterrestrial life. The rover "Perseverance" was sent to Mars for this purpose. In an interview with

stressed the NASA boss that he personally does not believe "that we are alone in the universe."
With his assessment, Bill Nelson is in high-profile company: The former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, like

, have already made similar statements
reported.
Former CIA director John Brennan also thought it was "a bit presumptuous and arrogant to believe that there is nowhere in the entire universe any other form of life".
Avril Haines, head of the National Intelligence Service (DNI), made a similar statement.
John Ratcliff, former director of the national intelligence services, even went a step further - and ruled out a US-American technology as the origin of the UFOs.
Foreign technologies are also no explanation for the phenomena, so Ratcliff.
He also referred to "secret reports".
These are technologies that “we don't have and which, frankly, we couldn't defend ourselves against,” Ratcliff continued.
Space exploration: how likely is extraterrestrial life?
The fictional character James Holden discovered as captain of the spaceship Rocinante in the SciFi series "The Expanse" with his crew an unknown way of life. Unlike many Hollywood productions or series, these weren't about green men with big heads and almond-shaped eyes. Instead, the alien life form was a glowing blue mass that devoured everything that got in its way. Intelligent, but people couldn't communicate with her directly.
From the point of view of physicists, this representation is not that unrealistic.

In reality, aliens are likely to be constructs that humanity cannot imagine.

There is no official evidence of extraterrestrial life yet. However, there are several scientific theories: for example the rare earth hypothesis, which states that the earth is unique and that it only exists once among billions of planets. There are therefore no other intelligent living beings.
As early as the 1960s, the astrophysicist Frank Drake was interested in the question of how likely it is that we will encounter intelligent life in our Milky Way.
This gave rise to the famous Drake equation, which takes various unknown factors into account, such as the rate at which stars form in the Milky Way or the likelihood that intelligent life will have the interest and the ability to establish interstellar communication.
The Fermi Paradox deals with the contradiction why intelligent life has not yet contacted us when there are billions of stars in the universe.
