The seven-day incidence of almost 400, more than 45,000 new infections and 300 deaths in one day: As a result of the unchecked increase in the corona numbers, numerous federal states are tightening their corona rules.

The measures at a glance:

Baden-Wuerttemberg

Stricter corona rules apply here

from Wednesday

. In the second alert level, which occurs from a hospitalization incidence of 6, vaccinated and convalescent persons must also show a corona test at concerts, parties, dance events and when visiting stadiums. In addition, in urban and rural districts with a seven-day incidence of more than 500

exit restrictions for non-vaccinated and non-convalescents apply

from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

In Baden-Württemberg, the hospitalization incidence was last at 5.8.

The value indicates the number of people who come to a clinic with a corona infection per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.

In addition, 485 intensive care beds were recently occupied in the southwest.

According to the new Corona regulation, alarm level two must be triggered if 450 intensive care beds are occupied.

Bavaria

In view of the rising corona numbers, the Bavarian cabinet decided today to take tough countermeasures.

They should - with the consent of the state parliament in the afternoon - come into force the next night and thus

apply

from Wednesday

.

  • For

    Unvaccinated then strict contact restrictions

: There are allowed to meet only a maximum of five people from two households.

Only children under twelve, vaccinated and convalescents do not count.

  • All

    clubs, discos and bars

    have to close,

    restaurants

are only allowed to stay open until 10 p.m.

    Christmas

    markets are canceled.

    From Wednesday on,

    cultural and sporting events

may only take place with a maximum of 25 percent of spectators.

  • In addition,

    the 2G rule

    then applies

    practically across the board

    : Only

    those who

have been vaccinated and those who have recovered have access to hairdressers, universities, music, driving and adult education centers as well as libraries. In many areas, 2G plus will even apply in the future: Access only for vaccinated and convalescent people, but only with an additional negative rapid test. This applies, for example, to cultural and sporting events, trade fairs and conferences as well as all kinds of leisure facilities such as zoos, baths and cable cars.

  • In rural districts and urban districts with a

seven-day incidence of more than 1000

, even more drastic restrictions apply: the restaurants, hotels, sports and cultural facilities must close, and all kinds of leisure, sports and cultural events are prohibited.

Unlike initially planned, however, hairdressers are now allowed to remain open.

Schools and daycare centers remain open throughout Bavaria.

The same applies to retail - but the following restrictions apply: one person per 10 square meters and in 1000 hotspots one person per 20 square meters.

Berlin

The capital will tighten

the corona rules

from Saturday

.

The 2G regulation is to be extended to other areas such as retail, hotels, adult education, driving schools and sports.

Shops with everyday goods such as supermarkets or drugstores are excluded from the 2G regulation.

Berlin is also introducing 2G Plus regulations.

In addition to the 2G rule, there should then be a mask requirement in the cultural and leisure sector.

Where wearing a mask is not feasible, such as in clubs or during sports, additional distances or a negative test result should be necessary.

Brandenbur

g

In Brandenburg, significantly stricter corona regulations apply from this Wednesday.

The

Christmas markets have to close

, shopping becomes more difficult for the unvaccinated.

The 2G rule (convalescent and vaccinated) will be extended to retail

.

Exceptions are supermarkets and other stores with the necessary needs such as pharmacies, drug stores or banks.

The 2G rule already applies in restaurants, theaters, cinemas, concert halls and leisure pools.

The cabinet also decided on contact restrictions

.

Those who have not been vaccinated are only allowed to meet with members of their own household and another household or with a total of up to five people.

In addition, there is an exit restriction from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for unvaccinated people from Thursday

if the seven-day incidence on three consecutive days is above 750 in a district or an urban district and the proportion of intensive care patients nationwide in relation to the intensive care units actually available Treatment capacities reached the threshold of at least ten percent.

The compulsory attendance at schools is lifted

.

Parents can decide for themselves whether the child will attend class in person or be cared for at home.

The Christmas holidays for Brandenburg pupils will start three days earlier, with the

last day of school being December 17th

.

Hamburg

The Hamburg Senate wants to

extend

the

2G rule to the cultural sector and accommodation providers

.

From next Monday, only those vaccinated and recovered from Corona will be allowed to visit theaters, cinemas, leisure facilities and hotels.

Lower Saxony

With effect

from November 24th

, the protective measures in Lower Saxony's Corona Ordinance will once again be significantly expanded and intensified.

The indoor meeting of many people is only allowed to vaccinated and convalescent people.

If the health system is more stressed, they will also need a negative test.

In many areas of public life,

stricter 2G rules

will apply from tomorrow

and later in warning level 2 also 2Gplus rules. This applies to restaurants, events, sports, hairdressers or accommodation. Mask requirements and distance requirements are expanded. Stricter protective measures apply inside than outside.

The Lower Saxony warning level concept is tightened again: the warning levels come into force earlier, warning level 1 from a seven-day hospitalization incidence of three (previously six), warning level 2 when the hospitalization incidence is six and warning level 3 is then nine.

This means that the resolution of the Prime Minister's Conference of November 18, 2021 will be implemented.

Even before warning level 1, the first aggravation occurs from a 7-day incidence of new infections of 35, instead of previously only at 50.

North Rhine-Westphalia

Stricter corona-related restrictions will also apply here in the future.

In the leisure area, access restrictions apply across the board for adults who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus or have recovered from it (

2G rule

).

In areas with a particularly high risk of infection - such as discos, clubs or carnival celebrations - even those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered have to present a current negative test (

2G plus

).

Exceptions apply to minors and people without a vaccination recommendation or to those who cannot be vaccinated.

Saxony-Anhalt

The

indoor 2G rule

applies here

from Wednesday

.

In addition, the Christmas holidays are brought forward.

The last day of school is December 17th and not December 21st.

In addition, from Monday until further notice, a daily test is mandatory in schools.

The

compulsory attendance at the schools will also be lifted

.

According to the ordinance, the 2G rule, and thus access only for vaccinated and convalescent people, applies to indoor events from 50 people, in indoor catering, with a few exceptions in sports and cultural activities as well as in leisure facilities.

Children up to the age of 18 and people who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons are excluded.

Discos and clubs remain open, but a 2G-Plus rule applies

, vaccinated and convalescents must also submit tests.

Anyone who has been vaccinated, recovered or tested can visit the Christmas markets in Saxony-Anhalt.

Thuringia

In view of the tense corona situation in Thuringia, the cabinet has decided on far-reaching restrictions on public life.

Clubs, bars and discos

are to be

closed

,

Christmas markets are banned

and a

curfew at 10 p.m. is to

apply

in restaurants

.

Swimming pools, leisure pools, saunas and thermal baths must also close.

There are exceptions for school sports.

The new Corona regulation sometimes makes a strong distinction according to people's vaccination status.

For those who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered from Covid 19 disease, a nightly curfew between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. will apply.

Unvaccinated people also face contact restrictions.

In addition, a 2G regulation will apply in many areas of public life from Wednesday.
