Bennett ahead of renewed nuclear talks: There may be disagreements with the US
The Prime Minister clarified that if there is a return to an agreement with Iran, Israel will not be bound by it.
He also said that Israel would take the initiative and maintain freedom of action against Tehran even if there was a return to the nuclear agreement.
"We hope the world will not blink - but even so we do not intend to blink"

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said this morning (Tuesday) that in light of the resumption of nuclear talks between Iran and the superpowers, there may be disagreements with the Biden administration. "There may be disagreements with the good ones in our companies - this will not be the first time," Bennett said. "Even if there is a return to the nuclear agreement - Israel is not a party to the agreement. Israel is not bound by the agreement."
He noted that after the signing of the nuclear deal in 2015, the Israeli government "fell asleep on guard" and stopped fighting against Iran. "We were dealing with other things then. We will learn from this mistake - we will preserve our freedom of action," Bennett said.
He also said at the political-security conference that Israel must harm the Iranians themselves, in Tehran, and not in their envoys in the region.
"Asymmetry is the biggest Israeli strategic mistake," Bennett said.
"They want us to wrestle with the messenger, and exhaust us."
He noted that when he entered the Prime Minister's Office he was amazed at the gap between the rhetoric and the actions on the Iranian issue.
"I have found a disturbing distance between statements like we will never allow Iran to be nuclear and the legacy I have received. I have inherited a reality in which Iran is in the most advanced state of its nuclear program and whose enrichment machine is more sophisticated than ever," Bennett said.
"The Iranians also surrounded Israel with missiles."
