The Christmas markets in Berlin may remain open for the time being, despite the high corona numbers.
In future, however, they will only be open to vaccinated and recovered people (2G), i.e. not unvaccinated.
The Senate agreed on this on Tuesday, according to information from the German Press Agency.
Berlin is proceeding differently than the neighboring state of Brandenburg, where Christmas markets have to close on Wednesdays.
Berlin - A number of markets in the capital such as Breitscheidplatz, Gendarmenmarkt or in front of the Rotes Rathaus were only opened on Monday, others have been open for a longer time.
