Corona cabinet ministers are meeting tonight (Tuesday) to discuss the virus issue, against the background of the experts' cabinet meeting tonight, according to which steps must be taken to curb the morbidity trend already now.
This, regardless of whether the upward trend will continue and worsen in the immediate period.
Meanwhile, researchers from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Hadassah, who are monitoring the state of corona disease in Israel, have published a report that will be presented at the cabinet meeting.
According to the report, the increase in the coefficient of infection is real and stems from an increase in the age groups up to the age of 40, when most of the new infections are not vaccinated, and most of them are children.
According to the researchers, the lack of data does not make it possible to analyze the root causes of the increased infection.
There is a marked increase in infection among vaccinated adolescents which reinforces the need to provide an impulse dose.
According to the report, because the population in which the increase occurs is smaller than the general population - a combination of a booster and a vaccine for children are expected to help increase the trend in an increased way.
