Erfurt - After the corona summit of the federal and state governments last week, in addition to North Rhine-Westphalia and many other federal states, Thuringia has tightened its measures to contain the corona virus.
These are expected to be valid until December 21, 2021.
From Wednesday (November 23, 2021) to mid-December between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., a nightly exit restriction for unvaccinated people will apply.
Then this group of people is only allowed to leave their apartment for a valid reason.
Anyone who has neither been vaccinated nor recovered must also be prepared for contact restrictions: From Wednesday, unvaccinated people are only allowed to meet two other people who do not belong to their own household.
Corona in Thuringia: 2G applies here from Wednesday
The 2G rule is being introduced in large parts of public life, for example in the following areas:
Retail (excluding shops for everyday needs such as supermarkets, pharmacies and drug stores)
Gastronomy (curfew from 10 p.m.)
for tourist overnight stays (3G applies to non-tourist overnight stays)
cultural events, such as theater (2G-Plus if more than 50 people are present)

In addition, the following applies from Wednesday in Thuringia:
no trade fairs and congresses until December 15th
Folk festivals and Christmas markets are prohibited
Amusement parks and indoor playgrounds close
Swimming pools must close (except for school sports)
Bars, discos and clubs close
Corona in Thuringia: 2G-Plus in fitness studios and recreational sports
In fitness studios and other recreational sports facilities, the Thuringian state government goes one step further: Only people who have been vaccinated or have recovered and who can also present a negative test (2G-Plus) may be admitted here.
The exception to this is children's and youth sports.
The regulation still has to be finally confirmed in a special session of the Thuringian state parliament on Wednesday (November 24th), but should then come into force immediately.
