Dr. Shaaban: The Arab countries will not constitute a significant regional power without cooperation and integration

Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, Special Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Watan Document Foundation, confirmed that Syria emerged victorious in the terrorist war that was imposed on it thanks to the wisdom of its president and the courage and sacrifices of its Syrian army and people.

Dr. Shaaban, during a lecture at the Diplomatic Institute of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the presence of a group of Omani ambassadors, addressed the reasons for the terrorist war that was imposed on Syria during the past ten years and its targeting of Syria's independent decision, its economic wealth and national identity.

Dr. Shaaban emphasized that the Arab countries would not constitute a significant regional power without Arab cooperation and integration in which Arab interests converge, pointing to the importance of establishing sound relations in all fields to serve Arab interests by confronting Western thought.

She noted the wise and balanced policy of the Sultanate of Oman with all Arab countries and the solutions it offers and suggests to the region's issues.

In turn, the President of the Diplomatic Institute, Zainab Al Qassimia, thanked Dr. Shaaban for her lecture and for the good feelings towards the Sultanate of Oman, the government and people.

On the other hand, Dr. Shaaban visited today the Omani National Museum, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Museum, Jamal Al-Moussawi, and was briefed on the most important landmarks of the museum and heritage pieces that reflect the value and history of Oman, and on the Syrian antiquities that were restored by the Omani brothers after their destruction by terrorists in Syria.

Dr. Shaaban also met with a group of Omani intellectuals, writers and media professionals, where she exchanged dialogue with them about the situation in Syria and the Arab countries and the regional and international challenges facing the region.
