I say it loud and clear: Guadeloupe is the only department, the only French overseas region, which had put forward President Emmanuel Macron.
Today, this is how we are treated, and I deplore it
”, also added the president of the region.

", underlines Ary Chalus.
The Minister of Overseas, Sébastien Lecornu, was nevertheless present on the archipelago in August.

Following the rise in violence in the face of compulsory vaccination for caregivers, many pressures are emerging for the Minister of Overseas France to go to Guadeloupe. However, he felt that this trip could present a "
particularly significant overhead for the police
".
However, not completely excluding going there to deal with the crisis, Sébastien Lecornu believes that his presence is not requested.
