The Council of Ministers discussed in its weekly session today, headed by Engineer Hussein Arnous, topics related to following up on the implementation of service and development projects in the governorates, improving the reality of the electricity sector and oil derivatives, increasing supplies from them, reducing the time period for receiving domestic gas cylinders, controlling markets and prices, and continuing to support farmers and the agricultural process.

The Council affirmed the continuation of taking what is necessary to improve the service and living conditions and to overcome any obstacles to the implementation of the development plans for each governorate. In the next year's budget and take contracting procedures to start implementation at the beginning of the year.

The council stressed the redoubling of efforts and accelerating the completion of the rehabilitation and maintenance of the contracted power plants and putting them into service, which will reflect positively on the generated energy, with a focus on completing the implementation of the rehabilitation of the Aleppo thermal power plant and the completion of the Rastan power station in Latakia in parallel with the follow-up to the implementation of renewable energy contracts.

Engineer Arnous explained that the government continues to provide support to farmers and farmers, including fertilizers, seeds and diesel for agriculture, to make the winter agricultural season successful and invest the largest possible areas for agriculture, stressing at the same time the need to receive all quantities of cotton from farmers for use in securing the requirements of the textile industries.

In addition, the Council requested the Ministry of Internal Trade to prepare an integrated plan for the maintenance of the damaged silos and mills to increase production capacity and store the largest amount of grain, and from the Ministry of Agriculture to expand the production of fisheries and floating marine farms and increase the cultivation of fingerlings in lakes, dams and sea beaches, in order to increase production and quantities offered in the markets at reasonable prices.

The Council affirmed the Ministry of Industry to increase the production capacity in the water production units and the stored quantities to prevent any monopoly and avoid any shortage of bottled water, and agreed to strengthen the role of consumer cooperatives, activate their branches in ministries and public authorities, and expand their role in securing the needs of workers at the lowest costs and in sufficient quantities.

The Council was briefed by the Minister of Oil on the reality of oil derivatives and stations belonging to public bodies, unions and unions, and private investors, and proposals to allocate them to sell gasoline and mazut at cost. It was emphasized that utmost efforts were made to increase supplies of oil derivatives on a regular basis and to continue drilling and exploration operations.

The council also heard a presentation by the Minister of Local Administration and Environment on the reality of shelter centers, the support provided to them, and ways to return citizens to their places of residence after providing the necessary services and the required stability factors.

The Council agreed to complete the implementation of the Bradoun Dam project in Lattakia Governorate, the implementation of the rehabilitation and cladding project of Beit Al Wadi Road in Drikish, Tartous, and the rehabilitation of the Tal Balat silo in Aleppo.
