He hoped that after the election system was improved, the Legislative Council could properly perform its function of monitoring the government.
Looking back on the turmoil of the amendment, Zhou Haoding admitted frankly that this was the most memorable event in his political career.

Zhou Haoding joined the Legislative Council in 2016 following the category of "Super District Councils". In just a few years of his parliamentary career, he has experienced ups and downs.
He said that the new electoral system has ushered in a new era, and there is no need to be entangled in political struggles and internal friction, and there is a little "sigh of relief."
He criticized that in the past, the "speculators" in the Legislative Council were politicized when they encountered controversy, distorting the "monitoring government" into "demonizing" and "dragging down" the government. In fact, they did not have an assistant to administer the government and killed Hong Kong. "The real role of the Legislative Council is to find a consensus if it encounters a contradiction, resolve it, and come up with ways to improve the problem. Zhou Haoding recalled that period of time and felt that the environment was difficult at the time. This experience was quite unforgettable: "At that time, my parliamentary office was "exploded". Second, a street station was attacked by volunteers, and some taxis were even driving a suspected attempt to hit them. Fortunately, they didn’t.” He recalled that Hong Kong at that time was in an "anarchy" and the establishment was threatened with personal threats against them and their families every day. There is no day and no end to the beginning, and the harm and threat to the whole camp are great. Fortunately, they succeeded in the end, which was not easy.
The political situation in Hong Kong has stabilized, but the social tears have not been repaired. The government's various "disorder chaos" work continues. Some people in Hong Kong may feel that political freedom has been narrowed, and they may ignore politics and even immigration.
Zhou Haoding believes that it takes time to heal his injuries slowly, and he can't be anxious: "Every adult, when he has a set of his own ideas, it is difficult for others to change.
