Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian affirmed his country's serious will for constructive interaction with the International Atomic Energy Agency within the framework of the Safeguards Agreement.
Abdullahian stressed, during his meeting today, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, the importance of the technical, professional and impartial work of the Agency and the need to ignore external political pressures, expressing his hope that this visit will lead to increasing mutual trust and enhancing cooperation between the two sides.
For his part, Grossi considered that his visit to Tehran confirms the presence of the two sides' will to solve the outstanding problems, pointing to the IAEA's readiness to solve them through intensive cooperation with Iran in the coming months.
