Iranian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi called on the international community to provide appropriate and effective support to countries in the context of addressing human trafficking crimes.
During the meeting of the UN General Assembly, Takht Ravanchi said, "We are committed to our commitments in terms of combating human trafficking crimes, and we recognize the role of the relevant UN organizations, especially the Office for Combating Systematic Transnational Crimes in this regard."
Raunji stressed that the internal security forces in Iran, despite the US embargo that hinders them from obtaining the necessary mechanisms and international support, is determined to confront the groups involved in these crimes.
