The Karni Ensemble for Armenian Heritage opened the activities of the Syrian Culture Days in Aleppo with a dance performance on the stage of the Artists Syndicate in the city.
Muhammad Hijazi, director of the National Theater, said in a statement to SANA reporter that this event comes to celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Culture in 1958, and includes the establishment of many activities, including plays, concerts and dance performances that will continue until the end of this month, expressing the Syrian cultural diversity with the participation of a number of artistic teams to support the cultural movement in Aleppo city.
Nanor Cromlian, coach of the Karni Band for Armenian Heritage, indicated that today's show included paintings of Armenian folklore and its customs, such as wedding parties, in addition to paintings about longing, nostalgia, equestrianism, harvest and war traditions, stressing the importance of participating in such celebrations to introduce the Armenian heritage.
Among the band members, Saleen Boyjian expressed her happiness to participate in presenting and introducing the Armenian culture.
While Idris Murad Musharraf pointed out that these events embody the artistic colors in Syria and the cultural and musical diversity of civilizations that are an integral part of the cohesive Syrian fabric.
