Five years after entering the tennis arena, Lamita Hatem from Sweida left her mark as a promising talent due to her capabilities and technical level that culminated in the results she obtained in various tournaments.

Lamita Hatem, 11 years old, started playing tennis at the age of six with the encouragement of her family. Her father, coach Maher Hatem, a former Syrian national team player, had a great role in establishing and refining her talent and her family to compete vigorously in tournaments.

The player, Hatem, indicated during her interview with the SANA sports reporter that her level has gradually developed as a result of the continuous interest in training her on a daily basis from her father, and she has succeeded in winning many championships at the governorate and republic levels for young age groups, indicating that tennis depends on intelligence, fitness and skill, and the practice of it brings many benefits.

Hatem explained that her current training is being held under the supervision of coach Wassim Zinya, who is working to develop her level for the better to achieve her ambition to participate during the coming period in tournaments outside Syria and to interact with professional players.

According to coach Maher Hatem, his daughter is a talented player who has great capabilities and has a presence and determination to compete and achieve advanced positions in tournaments, indicating that he established it in a purely academic manner and is still following her in her training.

And Lamita, who is ready to participate in the championships for the under 12 years category, has previously, as her father mentioned, won first places in the republic’s championships in the categories of under 8 and under 10 years, and the governorate championships in both categories.

Hatem indicated that the development of his daughter's level is due to continuous training and her great ambition for excellence, indicating that as a family they believe in her talent and provide her with everything necessary to reach her goal of entering the world of professionalism in the game.
