Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is tightening the corona measures significantly.
The cabinet in Schwerin decided on Tuesday to implement the resolutions of the Prime Minister's Conference last Thursday.
"The situation is very serious," said Vice Prime Minister Simone Oldenburg (left).
Schwerin - The measures in detail: If a district, an independent city or the whole country is in the orange warning level on the state's own corona traffic light, 2G plus applies in restaurants, fitness centers, hotels, cinemas and theaters, such as the Minister of Health Stefanie Drese (SPD) explained.
This means that only vaccinated and convalescent people with a daily negative test are allowed.
2G would then apply at Christmas markets.

The seven-day incidence of new corona infections rose to over 200 for the first time in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) reported 200.5 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days on Sunday.
The value increased by 6.4 compared to the previous day.
A week ago the value was 147.3.

The seven-day incidence of new corona infections also climbed to a high on Friday in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
With a value of 188.9, the number of new infections reported per 100,000 people in the past seven days was only one higher than the day before, as reported by the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus).

In almost all Thuringian municipalities, the highest corona warning level three has been in effect since Thursday.
Several counties slipped into the level because the value for the nationwide intensive care bed occupancy with corona patients was above the critical level of 12.0 percent for the third day in a row, as the Ministry of Health announced.
This means that people have to adjust to more corona rules.

Orange warning level applies if the seven-day hospitalization incidence is above 6.0 for three consecutive days.
On Tuesday it was given by the State Office for Health and Social Affairs for the whole of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as 7.3, on Monday as 6.6.
If the country is also in Orange Level on Wednesday, the restrictions will come into effect on Thursday, a government spokesman said.
For the red warning level above 9.0, contact restrictions and 2G when shopping are also provided.
The districts of Ludwigslust-Parchim (12.7), Western Pomerania-Rügen (9.8) and Mecklenburg Lake District (9.3) had a hospitalization incidence of over 9.0 on Tuesday.
If the warning level is yellow (hospitalization incidence above 3.0), 2G applies in many indoor areas.
