The Centre for Health Protection is investigating 6 new imported cases of new coronary pneumonia. So far, the total number of imported cases in Hong Kong has been 12,411. A total of 36 imported cases have been reported in the past 14 days.

Five of the new cases involved a variant virus infection, and the remaining one had insufficient viral load for relevant testing.

The case involved three men and three women, aged 6 to 74, all arriving in Hong Kong from designated areas (high risk) in Group A.

Four people were diagnosed at the airport when they arrived in Hong Kong, and the other two were diagnosed during the quarantine period.

Case Nos. 12411 to 12413 are traveling as a family, including 6 boys, 24 and 33-year-old women. Two female patients were vaccinated with Fubital and Coxing vaccines respectively. They were asymptomatic. Case No. 12414 is a 27-year-old woman living in Wing Lee Building, Wing Lok Street, Sheung Wan.

She went to the UK on November 7 and tested negative before leaving Hong Kong.

She arrived in Hong Kong from the United Kingdom via flight VS206 on November 21. She tested positive at the airport and had no symptoms. The CT value of the virus was less than 30, and she was confirmed to carry the L452R variant virus.

She works on the 37th floor of Tsim Sha Tsui Global Commerce Plaza, and the last date for work is November 3.

For the sake of prudence, the places she lived, worked and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period have been included in the mandatory testing announcement.

Case Nos. 12415 and 11416 were 23 and 74-year-old men. The former arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan via Turkey on November 13 by flight TK083, and the latter arrived in Hong Kong via CX873 on November 19 from the United States. Both are asymptomatic and have been vaccinated. The diagnosis was confirmed during the hotel quarantine.
