The corona numbers in Bavaria are forcing the government to take drastic measures again.
Prime Minister Markus Söder has this decided by the state parliament on Tuesday.

- The Corona * numbers in Bavaria are rising and rising. The 7-day incidence in the Free State was 640 on Monday, November 22nd. It is currently not foreseeable that the situation will calm down. Due to the sometimes extremely high incidences in some districts, especially in southeast Bavaria, Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) had already announced tough measures to combat pandemic at a press conference on Friday, November 19. These are now to be voted on Tuesday, first in the cabinet and then again in the state parliament, and then decided. The new rules should come into force on Wednesday, November 24th. Unvaccinated people in particular are now to be further restricted. From Wednesday, if the state parliament agrees,only meet a maximum of five people from two households - this does not include children under the age of 12 and those who have been vaccinated.

According to the previous plans, the 2G rule should then apply almost everywhere in Bavaria, including in universities, music and driving schools as well as body-friendly services.
The only exception is retail, but there should be an upper limit of one person per ten square meters of space.

The rules are tightened again for cultural and sporting events.

This means that only those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered are allowed access if they have also tested negative for the virus beforehand.
In addition, only 25 percent of the places can be occupied.
These rules apply to theaters, operas, stadiums as well as in leisure facilities and at trade fairs.

Clubs, bars and discos that have recently reopened will have to close again.
This also applies to brothels.
In addition, there is a curfew of 10 p.m. for the entire catering trade.
Christmas markets, which had already been canceled locally in many places, are now to be dropped across Bavaria.
In rural districts and urban districts with an incidence value of 1000 or more, public life is to
be shut down
in
large areas.
Gastronomy and accommodation of all kinds, sports and cultural facilities as well as body-friendly services must close, leisure, sports and cultural events are prohibited.
Universities have to switch to digital teaching.
In trade, there is a stricter restriction to one person per 20 square meters.

Schools and daycare centers remain open for face-to-face lessons with a mask requirement - also in the hotspots.
PCR pool tests should be carried out across the board in daycare centers and secondary schools, and there should also be additional rapid test offers.
With regard to the upcoming regular fire, Söder said: “To combat the pandemic, we have to start where the levers are most important.
That means lockdown for unvaccinated people through 2G and 2G-Plus and also through contact restrictions and in the hotspots ”.
The most important thing now is to break the wave, “hard”.
The regulations should initially apply until December 15 - an extension is not excluded.
Anyone who does not comply with the Corona regulations * in Bavaria will be punished more severely in the future.
Comes the general vaccination requirement: The Bavarian state government reacts with approval from Söder's initiative
The Bavarian Prime Minister had repeatedly criticized in the past few days that the Corona timetable of the new traffic light government was too slack and that it would certainly need to be improved before the next Corona summit on December 9th.
There should still be some heated discussions, especially about the question of a general vaccination requirement in Germany.
Söder, who had always categorically ruled out compulsory vaccination himself, now argued that in the long term only a general compulsory vaccination would help to free the country permanently from the “corona stranglehold”.
A partial compulsory vaccination, for example only for individual professional groups, creates injustice.
In the Bavarian state parliament, Söder's initiative met with approval from almost all parties.
