British company Rolls-Royce announced the launch of a new electric aircraft, noting that it is the fastest electric means of transport in the world.
The company said in a statement on its website that it had conducted recent flight tests for this aircraft, as it was able to fly at a speed of 623 kilometers per hour.
The company confirmed that the plane set two other world records, reaching a top speed of 555.9 kilometers per hour after a distance of only three kilometers. The plane also climbed to an altitude of more than 3000 meters in 202 seconds, breaking the previous world record by 60 seconds.
The company explained that the plane was equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 400 kilowatts and the most powerful battery ever manufactured in the aviation industry.
The launch of this electric aircraft comes in the context of the company's development plan to provide the technological breakthroughs society needs to decarbonize air, land and sea transportation.
