More than one farmer's suicide a day.
The latest figures available, communicated in June by Public Health France, show 529 deaths in 2016. The causes of this scourge are known and multiple, in the first place the lack of income, excess work, emotional isolation and geographical, as well as the lack of recognition, but the means put on the table for ten years by the public authorities and the profession have not made it possible to reverse the trend.

Also, after eighteen months of work listening to professional organizations, associations and parliamentarians, the Minister of Agriculture, Julien Denormandie, presented this Tuesday his roadmap to stop the slaughter.
Entitled "Prevention of ill-being and support for farmers in difficulty", its program aims to detect as early as possible the situations of economic and social distress of farmers in difficult situations, in order to avoid the worst.
