The Idlib Farmers Union has started distributing diesel fuel allocations to wheat farmers in areas liberated from terrorism in the province's countryside.
The head of the Idlib Farmers Union, Khaled Al-Daher, said in a statement to SANA that the distribution of agricultural diesel was started to all farmers in the liberated areas at a rate of 3 liters for every dunum planted with wheat, noting that farmers can get their allocations through 14 petrol stations covering all liberated areas in Sinjar and Abu al-Duhur. Khan Sheikhoun, Maarat and Saraqib.
Al-Daher added that the distribution of diesel is according to the agricultural regulation of each farmer, in which the areas to be cultivated are clarified, pointing out that in each extension unit there are spatial committees whose mission is to verify the areas licensed in each organization to ensure that the diesel reaches those who deserve it only.
Al-Daher indicated that the lack of rain would delay the agricultural plan for planting rain-fed wheat, while irrigated wheat farmers began cultivating their lands, especially in the Abu Dahour area and in the vicinity of the water sabkhat.
