- Why publish a book on the coup d'état in Burma?

On the morning of February 1, when I learned of the putsch, I immediately wondered how the military could be so stupid.

They already had everything going for them: a Constitution guaranteeing them a quarter of the seats in Parliament and the main ministries.

They had nothing to gain from this coup.

Yet it happened and today the people are suffering from it.

This book was published ten months after the coup.

While many foreign media are now interested in other matters, I hope that it will once again draw the attention of the international community to what is happening in Burma at the moment.
