Vosges: a family decimated by the Covid-19

A couple of octogenarians and their 48-year-old son, unvaccinated, died of Covid-19 the same week, causing great emotion in their village of Courcelles-sous-Châtenois.

In less than a week, a couple and their son, unvaccinated, living in the village of Courcelles-sous-Châtenois, in the Vosges, all three died as a result of Covid-19.

"We are all flabbergasted"

Dominique Py, the 48-year-old son, died first on Sunday, November 14, according to the obituary published in the local daily

He was found at his parents' home, the newspaper specifies.

The next day, her mother, Odile Py, aged 82, also died of Covid-19 at Vittel hospital.

Her husband, Robert Py, 89, will be taken away five days later, on November 20, at Neufchâteau hospital.

The mayor of Courcelles-sous-Châtenois is not the only one to have encouraged vaccination after this tragedy.
