“there is no longer any doubt.” He also predicts that it will continue to snow in large parts of Germany until Saturday.
Sometimes the snow even remains.
In the south, the snow cover should reach up to 20 centimeters on Saturday and even up to 30 centimeters thick on the edge of the Alps.
Hamburg and Berlin are not getting that much, not until next week it should be really wintry in the north as well.
Snow cover also on the 1st Advent - and what about a white Christmas?
From the point of view of several weather experts, the chances of a white Christmas this year are pretty good. It is still too early to make precise predictions. Because the further away, the more inaccurate weather forecasts become. But snowfall in December is likely and, according to climate models, it will be the coldest December in the last ten years. That would suggest that the snow cover could remain until December 24th. From the point of view of meteorologist Jan Schenk, the probability is 70 percent.
The weather expert Schenk has already made a decision for the first Advent: On November 28th, from his point of view, Germany will continue to be wrapped in white.
