Under the motto “Do you hear me ?!

And how?

And how! ”A youth service took place in the Tadingen parish church.

Young people from all over the district were also involved via the Internet.

Tading

- "Do you hear me ?!

And how?

And how! ”The youth service in the Tadingen parish church of the Assumption was all about“ hearing ”and“ being heard ”.

In the atmospherically illuminated church, Pastor Christoph Stürzer led the mass, but left a large part of the design to the young people.

According to the credo of the event, these would often be overlooked in the pandemic.

The moderators Antonia Hirschmann and Annalena Nußrainer skilfully led through the evening and let the parishes of Langengeisling, Ottenhofen and Isen have their say through a large screen in the chancel. This was planned live, but due to technical problems, videos were spontaneously recorded and sent to Tading, explains Saskia Stanner. However, this did not detract from the good mood and once again highlighted the young people's creative drive.

The youth choir Tading and the band around director Regina Maier also set off musical fireworks in the church with songs like “Fire and Flame” and the African Sanctus “Sana Sananina”.

The musicians also showed their skills in soft, clear tones with the "Bavarian Hallelujah" - an arrangement of the classic by Leonhard Cohen by Stefan Mosinger.

Young people from the various parishes reported on their personal problems on the screen.

A young woman from Langengeisling spoke of the lack of a meeting place for young people in the village.

Simone from Ottenhofen talked about the difficulties of moving to a new place and - due to corona, among other things - not being able to make new contacts.

Isen mainly had concerns about the motorway, but also thoughts about regionality and sustainability.

"To be heard is a wonderful feeling", summarized Kilian Mitterer and also referred to Jesus, who could lead one "through this murmur of voices".

As a greeting of peace, those responsible from the parishes sent a live message to Tading.

Using a zoom video conference, they formed doves with their hands and let them rise up as a sign of community.

During the mass - this was possible thanks to the live transmission on the Internet - the believers were able to send in their thoughts on a homepage, which could then be seen in a kind of mind map on the screen.

The final appeal of the young people in Tading referred to Christian charity: "Listen, listen to other people."
