The Cyber Department of the State Attorney's Office has filed an indictment in the Kiryat Bialik court against Zvi Binstein from Kiryat Bialik, for an offense of incitement to violence.
This, after he posted content on Twitter that encouraged violence against MK Benjamin Netanyahu during his time as Israeli prime minister.
The indictment, filed by attorney Amit Levin of the cyber department of the State Attorney's Office, states that during the period relevant to the indictment, there were frequent demonstrations against the then prime minister, including near his residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem.
During this time, the defendant posted on his social network Twitter, posts calling for violence and encouraging acts of violence against the then prime minister and his family.
Defendant held and maintained a Twitter account under the name zvi binstein or @ zvibin1, to which he posted content that was exposed and constituted a platform for others to express their support for posts via Like, literally openly via "Comment" or via "Retweet".

Defendant, as the holder and administrator of the Twitter account, exclusively controlled all of its contents.
Among other things, the defendant wrote in his account as follows: "Today, July 14, 1789, the citizens of France broke into the Bastille stronghold of the oppressive regime in Paris and burned it. Today, July 14, 2020, Israeli citizens storm the cuckoo's nest on Balfour Street. His wife stole and his son pimped prostitutes and burned her "(14.07.2020);

The defendant also tweeted "Israeli citizens on their way to the cuckoo's nest on Balfour Street will do to the defendant and the Balfour gang located there, what the corrupt defendant did to Yitzhak Rabin on November 5, 1995, and what Romanian citizens did following the events of the Romanian Revolution (1989). Defendant's tweets were re-tweeted, endorsement marks and comments.
The State Attorney's Office stated: "These publications amount to calls for violence and encourage violence against the former prime minister and his family, by harming his body or putting him in danger of death, when there is a real possibility that the publications will lead to the act of violence.
