A book fair opened today at the Arab Cultural Center in Jableh, as part of the celebration of the Syrian Culture Days.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Mayada Hassan, head of the Cultural Center, explained that the exhibition, which includes 400 diverse titles between cultural, scientific, political and social publications from the Ministry of Culture, comes within the framework of interest in spreading science and achieving the desired knowledge society, given the book as one of the most important sources of knowledge, so the Ministry of Culture secures it at the lowest expense. Possible to make it accessible to whoever wants it.
Among the visitors to the exhibition, retired teacher Abdel Karim Saleh, writer Mohamed Ibrahim, Naim Wannous and Jaafar Diop spoke about the importance of holding such exhibitions periodically, which include recent publications and new titles, allowing them to keep pace with developments in knowledge, especially with the trend of young people towards electronic books and browsing and their distance from papers and documentation.
It is reported that the exhibition lasts for a week.
