Engineer Ali Youssef, director of the Agricultural Bank in Drakeish, said in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the bank expanded the lending process, especially agricultural plan services loans, the purchase of electricity generation equipment with renewable solar energy, land reclamation, the establishment of greenhouses, the purchase of tractors and combines, the purchase of cows, the expansion of building, restoration and renewal of existing poultry equipment and equipment, pointing out The lending includes the manufacturing and marketing process, such as purchasing equipment and equipment for factories of agricultural and veterinary medicines, vaccines, facilities for sorting and packing fruits and vegetables, crushing and packing fodder, and establishing fixed and mobile storage refrigerators.

Youssef revealed that the total loans granted amounted to 725 million pounds since the beginning of the current year to date, according to short, medium and long terms for the private and cooperative sectors, which included various goals, while collections amounted to about 110 million pounds, indicating that the value of deposits and current accounts amounted to 546 million pounds, including 318 million for the public sector and 104 million For the private sector and 29 for the cooperative sector, in addition to 95 million savings and time deposits.

Youssef pointed out that the amount of fertilizer sold exceeded 300 tons of various types, with a value of more than 150 million pounds of various types, distributed according to the actual needs of farmers through agricultural associations and according to agricultural regulation.

Regarding the loans granted, Youssef indicated that the short-term loans included granting various loans, such as loans for serving greenhouses, serving poultry, fattening calves, and others. The loan period does not exceed one year, while a medium loan is granted for a period not exceeding 5 years, and it includes drilling and equipping artesian wells, construction of reservoirs and a water group, and purchasing Plastic strips and fruit tree service. As for the long loans, Youssef explained that they include the purchase of tractors and the establishment of poultry and beef cattle, for a period of 10 years, with specific conditions.
