The quantities of ginned cotton in the Al-Waleed gin in Homs for the current season have reached about 180 tons.
Engineer Ibrahim Al-Sarem, director of the Al-Waleed gin in Homs, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that ginning operations began at the beginning of this month, and since the middle of last month, cotton has been received from Deir ez-Zor, which has so far reached 570 tons of the beloved cotton.
Al-Sarem indicated that the ginning operations carried out by the efforts of ginning workers and technicians resulted in the production of about 65 tons of ginned cotton, in addition to about 105 tons of industrial seeds, by-products and fine and coarse dust, which will be imported successively to the public sector authorities for the various industries, whether textile, feed, poultry or oil factory.
Al-Sarem indicated that the technical condition of the ginning machines is good, after completing the rehabilitation and maintenance process with the expertise of our workers, pointing to the continuation of receiving and ginning the beloved cottons according to the plan of the General Organization for Cotton Ginning and Marketing, despite the negative effects of the power outage on the continuation of the production process.
