For the second time in a row, due to the pandemic, the citizens' meeting only took place in the slimmed-down online format.

The Allingers were therefore not able to submit applications.

There was only one request.

And that also affected the pandemic.

Alling - A citizen wanted to know whether there would be a test center for everyone in Alling when 3G becomes mandatory in the workplace and on public transport.

He asked the question via Facebook, where the online meeting was broadcast as well as via a Zoom conference.

Mayor Stefan Joachimsthaler stated that the municipality could not set up a test center itself.

"But maybe we can reactivate the team that had organized the former test center in our community," said the town hall chief.

It will also be checked whether a vaccination day can take place in Alling.

"If we no longer vaccinate ourselves, the virus will be with us for a long time," Joachimsthaler appealed to the participants.

Apart from this one question, the citizens remained calm.

The focus of the online meeting was therefore the mayor's lecture, who not only gave a detailed review of the past year, but also highlighted some of the highlights of 2022.

In the coming year, for example, the fiber optic expansion is to advance right into the house through Telekom.

However, interested parties are still required for such a connection.

A total of 40 percent of Allingen's households have to participate so that Telekom can move the fiber optic connections into the houses.

“We are currently at 16 percent,” said Joachimsthaler.

He announced that Telekom would visit local residents to actively address other interested parties.

Rehabilitation of the water pipe

The renovation of the water pipeline from Alling via Germansberg to Biburg should be finished in December.

But the pipeline renovations do not end there.

In 2022, more kilometers of pipes are to be rehabilitated, including in the Holzkirchen district.

Joachimsthaler showed the citizens which pipes are going into the ground when he held a small section of a pipe up to the camera.

E-pillars

According to the town hall chief, the first e-charging stations in the parking lot of the sports hall and at the community center could go into operation sometime between April and June 2022.

The start of construction on the children's house is planned for August, when the excavation is to be carried out.

And last but not least, the flood protection concept is being refined as well as the protection concept for impending flash floods caused by heavy rainfall.

The latter should be ready in September.

Financially, the community is on schedule, as the mayor explained.

The income from income and trade tax is at the "pre-pandemic level".

The year 2021 is expected to end with debts of 208,000 euros and reserves of two million euros.
