According to the RKI, it was 644.9 on Tuesday morning, around four points higher than the day before.
A week ago the value was 554.2.
The incidence in Germany is close to 400 at 399.8. And as of today there are ten districts with an incidence of over 1000.
With one giant leap, the district of Passau jumped into the inglorious circle of hotspots.
While 971.8 cases were reported there in the last seven days yesterday, there are 1135.7 today.
The front runner in Germany has also changed.
The Freyung-Grafenau district now tops the list with 1614.4.
New rules should curb the steep increase in the number of cases from Wednesday.
