The Pan American Health Organization announced today that new infections with the Corona virus jumped by 23 percent in the Americas last week, most of them in North America.
Reuters quoted the organization as saying that the United States and Canada recorded high infection rates, warning of a relapse, such as the one witnessed in Europe.
The organization indicated that Central America, on the other hand, witnessed a decline of 37 percent in new infections with the epidemic.
The Corona virus has killed more than 5 million and 18 thousand people around the world since its outbreak began in December 2019, according to the latest statistics from the American World Meters website.
