An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Yonkuni, southern Japan today.
The US Geological Survey stated that the epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of 22.51 km, and there were no reports of injuries or damage.
Japan ranks among the few countries in the world prone to frequent earthquakes because it is located on the first line of earthquakes and in the Pacific Ring of Fire region.
